Primary sources?
[edit]The article has been tagged as relying too much on primary sources. I'm not sure that this is appropriate, as there seem to be a good number of reliable non-primary references. While there are many references to Numatic's Web site, they mostly support mention of individual models; general information on the cleaner and the company is, I think, well-referenced. I won't myself remove the tag as others may disagree, but depending on other comments perhaps it should go. Best wishes, Pol098 (talk) 15:50, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
- I'd support this, the article need a fair bit more work but I think most key points in the lead and history section are now supported by decent enough independent references. LittleDwangs (talk) 16:08, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
"Never advertises"
[edit]To say that Numatic "never advertises" is vague and inaccurate, I've just driven past an HGV with both Henry and Hetty prominently displayed on the rear doors - pretty sure that's advertising, and just to be sure - here's an article from 2019 by the BBC that shows trailers with brand advertising on the side: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-50507110
"Vacuum device"
[edit]@Tony1 I note you have moved the page from Henry (vacuum) to Henry (vacuum device) without any apparent discussion. As such, it is unclear what your motivation is. I think Henry (vacuum device) is a poor choice of wording. I have never heard of a vacuum cleaner being referred to as a vacuum device. A cursory google search suggests the term vacuum device is primarily used to refer to penis enlargers. I think Henry (vacuum cleaner) would be a far better choice… — LittleDwangs (talk) 10:41, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- I agree entirely, but it wouldn't let me move it to "vaccuum cleaner" (a page already exists, it said). Do you know how to get around that? Either way, the previous "(vaccuum)" sounded like Henry was a physicist, and a Henry vaccuum some kind of phenomenon. Tony (talk) 11:30, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
- The move should be listed on Requested Moves (WP:RM) so an editor with the right privileges can delete the redirect Henry (vacuum cleaner) and then move the article. I can’t list it at the moment as I am away from my computer. — LittleDwangs (talk) 11:44, 28 September 2025 (UTC)
