That Bonham Carter has British citizenship is known and uncontroversial, and she has for a long time routinely been described as a British actress by sources from around the world including Britannica, the BBC, Hollywood Life, BBC America, RT, Hollywood Reporter, Tribute (Canada), and ABC (Australia). While the Bonham Carter branch is indeed an old English family (originating from Yorkshire), her other grandparents came from a variety of international backgrounds, and therefore following the reliable sources and using her citizenship as the nationality descriptor in the lead is the appropriate course as per the MoS for BLPs.
