In a letter to The Times, Brook wrote "From birth till death it is now the privilege of the parental State to take major decisions - objective, unemotional, the State weighs up what is best for the child." Peter Hitchens in "The Abolition of Britain" says it was on 16 February 1980. Ann Farmer in "By Their Fruits: Eugenics, Population Control, and the Abortion Campaign" quotes "Norman 2003" saying it was 10 December 1984. Hi, Cagliost. The letter from Brooks was quoted in the House of Commons on 14 May 1980, saying it was in The Times on 16 February - see https://www.theyworkforyou.com/debates/?id=1980-05-14a.1501.0 Proscribe (talk) 18:23, 3 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
