Spelling corrections - American English vs British English

Why is Keith Ledger's place of death spelled "neighbourhood" for the Soho neighborhood in Manhattan, New York? This location is in the United States where American English is written and spoken. Discussion about Estate and Inheritance

The description of Ledger's estate seems to indicate that his parents gave up their inheritance rights to Matilda, Ledger's daughter who was born after the will was signed. But Matilda would have been a pretermitted heair. In common law countries a pretermitted heir is a child or spouse who was unintentionally omitted from a deceased person's will because the will was executed before the child was born or adopted, or before the marriage took place. If a pretermitted heir is the deceased's sole child, and there is no surviving spouse, she is generally entitled to inherit 100% of the estate. So this section should be re-written. No, I don't think it suggests "his parents gave up their inheritance rights to Matilda" -- rather it merely quotes that she would be "taken care of" -- two very different things. Further, even if what you suggest is true, your armchair legal analysis isn't sufficient reason to change anything. --ZimZalaBim^talk 21:39, 31 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
