Place of birth

There doesnt seem to be any supporting evidence of his birth in Melbourne, (or Sydney as IMDB suggests). Anyone have any reliable sources?Nickm57 (talk) 07:52, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Hi. I probably took it off the Find A Grave posting. Created the article before I knew about the non-reliability of that source. However, that source is clearly unreliable, as it has his place of death incorrect (although the date is right), will fix that and add cite, but will change place of birth to simply Australia, as I can't find anything more specific. He probably had an actual birth name he no longer used. His US WWI registration card gives his name as Henry Radford Allen born July 10, 1876. Its available free on familysearch.org. (I still can't find anything like his name in birth records in Australia) Nickm57 (talk) 05:17, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

Date and place of birth

He was born Henry Allen (no Radford on his birth certificate) in Carlton, a suburb of Melbourne Australia, on 10 July 1877. His birth was registered late, in January 1878. The document is 914/1878 at Births, Deaths & Marriages Victoria, here.
