Additional accomplishment such as being of lead counsel in the “Pigford” litigation where he and other attorneys represented hundreds of thousand of black farmers against the USDA for their discriminatory practices in giving these farmers farm loan. The case settled for several billion dollars. In 2024 Mr. Pogust started the charitable foundation Trial Lawyers for a Better Tomorrow.

The Foundation’s Purpose is to raise money through the trial bar to assist children throughout the world to improve their educational opportunities which leads these children reach their full potential and goals. Mr. Pogust created this organization after returning from a trip for Ghana where he observed first hand the deplorable educational opportunities or lack thereof. After returning he took it upon himself to build a school house spending in excess of six figures which is complete with up to date computers and other learning tools, sports fields and other items which will allow teachers to have the quality tools necessary to help these children have the tools necessary to reach their fullest potential and make their dreams possible.
