I work in digital marketing for Hackett London (COI disclosed on my user page). I'd like to propose two corrections to the infobox and lead paragraph, both objective factual updates:
1. Ownership: The infobox currently lists M1 Group and L Capital Asia as owners. Hackett has been part of AWWG (formerly Pepe Jeans Group) since 2020. Source: FashionUnited.
2. Flagship store info: The infobox shows "160 stores as of June 2019," which is now a stale date reference. Proposing to update with current sourced figures, or remove the date qualifier.
3. Lead paragraph: Proposing an expanded lead that reflects the brand's current ownership and flagship location. Draft below:
"Hackett London is a British menswear brand and multi-channel retailer founded in 1983 by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings, specialising in tailoring, smart casual clothing, and accessories for men. Headquartered in London, the brand operates over 160 stores across more than 30 countries. Its flagship store is located at 14 Savile Row, London, a site previously occupied by fashion house Hardy Amies from 1946 until 2019. The brand is owned by AWWG (formerly the Pepe Jeans Group) and is positioned in the accessible luxury segment of British menswear."
Sources for verification:
- Retail Gazette, "Hackett flagship to replace Hardy Amies on Savile Row," June 2019
- AWWG official website, "About us" (awwg.com/about-us) — confirms Hackett is part of AWWG, owned by M1 Group, L Catterton and founder Carlos Ortega.
