Please change the second image in the History's subsection British rule from the current image to (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gujjar_women_in_colonial_period.jpg). The current image, captioned "Two Gurjar men on a pavement and a woman in a doorway in Delhi" does not clearly or exclusively represent the Gurjar community, as the image appears it to include individuals from outside the community as well. I would like to request consideration of replacing the current image with a more representative image of the Gurjar community. - The concern is not about the caption itself, but whether the image clearly satisfies Wikipedia’s standards for representative identification and encyclopedic clarity. A caption stating “Two Gurjar men on a pavement and a woman...” does not independently verify that every individual shown is Gurjar, particularly in a public setting where readers cannot distinguish identities from the image alone.
- Per Wikipedia’s principles of verifiability and neutral representation, lead or infobox images for an ethnic community should ideally be clear, unambiguous, and directly representative of the subject. Since a freely licensed image specifically depicting Gurjar individuals is now available on Wikimedia Commons, replacing the current image would improve clarity, accuracy, and representation for readers.
