Hi, I saw that a lot from my edits were reverted (which I don't complain about and I agree, there are really little to no sources to back up my entries). Therefore I want to asks, which sources are ok.

1. Inven Global (confirmed reliable)

2. Videos from primary sources , e.g. LCK, Riot Games, Lol Esports

3. Statistic websites, e.g. Esports Charts, Games Of Legends Esports

4. Sheep Esports (Articles for League of Legends)

@DthxDth: Hello. I'll run through your questions:

Yes, Inven Global is considered a reliable source and may be used.
Yes, you can use primary sources sparingly, but only for straightforward facts (match results, dates, direct quotes). What is not okay is interpreting them (e.g. "aggressive playstyle," "best player," "dominant").
Stats sites are case-by-case. There are not many reliable stats websites for esports. Esports Charts is acceptable for viewership metrics because it's regularly cited by higher-quality secondary sources (e.g., ESPN, Sports Business Journal), but it would be better to directly cite secondary sources. gol.gg would probably not be okay, as it doesn't seem to be used by high-quality secondary sources.
Sheep Esports is not established as reliable, so treat cautiously. Its own About page lists their reporters, none of which seem to have any professional journalistic experience.

How do I work with the article from Sheep Esports? I need to treat cautiously in which aspect? Like opinions and analyzing gameplay? They did interviews with players and I assume I can use those to cite. DthxDth (talk) 16:19, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
