Name of the school

@Gwafton: I agree that the city was officially called Nikolaistad. However, the school retained the name Vasa gymnasium. This is supported by the two references already cited in the article (Ylioppilasmatrikkeli and Kansallisbiografia), and also by this additional source : After the fire in 1852, the school temporarily operated in Jakobstad before relocating to Nikolaistad in 1863. In 1857, Bergroth must therefore have graduated in Jakobstad. Even after the relocation to the rebuilt city, the school is referred to as "Vasa gymnasium i Nikolaistad" in contemporary letters. There's no evidence of it being called "Nikolaistad gymnasium". 130.234.110.113 (talk) 11:41, 26 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
