wikiquote?

[edit]

Removing the wikiquote link, since it doesn't actually seem to get any results. G-Flex 07:01, 11 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removed the quote "presumably because it used to be an ambulance." In Ghostbusters 1, when Ray first drives the old Cadillac ambulance up to the firehouse (before it has been retrofitted) you can hear him using the car's old-style electromechanical "coaster" siren. Minor description edit

[edit]

Removed link to limousine as "limo-style" simply means having windows in the rear 1/4s and has nothing to do with actual limousines. Also removed station wagon from the clarifier of combination. Combination meant a combination of a hearse and ambulance, and had nothing to do with station wagons. Improbcat 19:10, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

accurate photo please

[edit]

Shouldn't the photo with the article be a car of the correct year - 1959? The photo shows a 1961 model, the 62s had a different grille. Elsquared (talk) 08:43, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

IMCDb

[edit]

I've noticed that the references in this article dealing with the make and model of the Ecto-1 are citing the IMCDb, which like the IMDb is a user-generated site and thus unacceptable as a source per WP:USERGENERATED. It would be wonderful if any editors could track down some better references. Our article at Wayne_Corporation#Miller-Meteor does mention the Ecto-1 and references Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History, though the referenced page is much slimmer on details than what this article currently mentions.
