Why Dil not Dill for main title

[edit]

When creating the article, I chose "Dil" instead of "Dill" based off of art-work and literature produced by the club and other people. Although the sources commonly refer to it as "Dill", I decided to go with some of the literature actually produced by the club. I made a note though in the intro.--NortyNort (talk) 05:58, 13 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

When did it actually close?

[edit]

According to this document, the club functioned through at least 1936.--205.178.36.171 (talk) 21:21, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Magnus Hirschfeld lecture hand bill

[edit]

In the You Tube video The Brutal Fate of Homosexuals during Nazi Germany posted by the Diary of Julius Caesar, at the 22:33 point is illustrated a flyer advertising Hirschfeld's lecture at the Dil-Pickle Club. The Dil-Pickle Club was an important part of Chicago's LGBTQ history.

Possible AI text

[edit]

Concerns were raised previously via tag about AI-generated content in this article, which is prohibited per WP:NEWLLM. This is a procedural talk page section to discuss it. There is no need to ping me in response. Read WP:AISIGNS for more information for why this is tagged; however, note that fixing the issue requires more than just changing the superficial signs.

Rationale: This substantive May 2025 rewrite; note WP:AISIGNS in superficial analyses, vocab distribution typical of 2025 LLMs, etc Gnomingstuff (talk) 15:19, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
