Please consider updating the lead section to better reflect Davis’ work as a gospel artist, songwriter, producer, recording artist, worship leader, and founder of Darnell Davis & The Remnant.

Freeman Darnell Davis is an American gospel musician, songwriter, producer, recording artist, and worship leader from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Earlier in his career, Davis worked under the name F. Darnell Davis and contributed as a songwriter and producer to recordings by Excelsior, a former Verity Records gospel choir. He is best known for his work with the gospel ensemble Darnell Davis & The Remnant. The ensemble’s recordings include Psalms of the Remnant, Moving Forward, Live Again, and Psalms of Revival. Moving Forward charted on Billboard’s Gospel Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts and received a nomination in the Traditional Gospel Album category at the 45th GMA Dove Awards.
