I am requesting that an uninvolved editor consider expanding this article. The subject has additional coverage in reliable sources that is not currently reflected. I have a connection to the subject and am therefore requesting edits rather than making them directly, per WP:COI.

Proposed changes

1. Revise the opening sentence to better reflect the scope of the subject's work:

Current: "Dana Ellyn is an American vegan artist who incorporates political and animal cruelty themes in her work."

Proposed: "Dana Ellyn is an American contemporary painter based in Washington, D.C., known for narrative-driven paintings that address political, social, and animal rights themes. She has maintained a full-time independent studio practice since 2002."

3. Add the DEFILED collaborative series with Matt Sesow:

Since 2012, Ellyn has collaborated with painter Matt Sesow on a series called "DEFILED," in which each artist takes turns transforming the other's work. The series has been exhibited at UMass Boston's Harbor Gallery (2013), Hill Center in Washington, D.C. (2019), and other venues.

The subject meets WP:ARTIST criteria through sustained exhibition history at notable venues over 20+ years, national media coverage, and museum exhibitions.
