Since the 2017 tag for notability and references, a fair amount of edits have been done to this article. Per the notability, in light of the fact that one of the songs he wrote (Bobby Sue, with collaborators) reached #1 on the Billboard Country Western charts, seems unjustified. The article appears to be largely encyclopedic at this point, with little evidence of close connection to the subject. Lastly, there are a number of citations verifying the accuracy of the article.
