In-Memory Size
[edit]I stumbled onto this article looking to know what the different versions of MS-DOS actually consumed for memory. I thought it seemed like an interesting, and fairly easy thing to have measured, recorded, and reported. Obviously, I was disappointed, as there doesn't seem to any mention of how much memory any of them required. Back in the day, this information seemed pretty useful, especially between v3.3 and v4.01... and possibly v5 and v6 as they entered the ring.
Is there any reason to think that these values weren't stable or the same for almost everyone? Short of that presumption, it seems like a useful metric for machines that were often running with a megabyte or less, and could lend some context that we might not think to fuss over today. 24.247.41.1 (talk) 01:43, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
