Feedback from New Page Review process

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Hi! Are you aware that using LLMs to create articles for Wikipedia is prohibited? You can read about the rules at WP:NOLLM. Your article about Como Beach looks as though it was AI-generated, so I have nominated it for speedy deletion. You've also only used sources from the city website, which doesn't show that there the place is notable according to Wikipedia rules - you need to show that there is significant coverage of it in multiple, independent sources. You could try searching https://trove.nla.gov.au/ to look for newspaper articles about the beach and other Australian topics, or http://archive.org (full text search of books, not the Wayback Machine for web pages) to look for books. I hope you continue to contribute to Wikipedia - but PLEASE write and edit yourself, don't use AI!!

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedy deleted as unreviewed LLM content, because LLMs were not used to write this! As per CSD G15:

"Since humans can make typos and links may suffer from link rot, a single example should not be considered definitive. Editors should use additional methods to verify whether a reference truly does not exist".

I have amended reference 4 which was a broken link because it is an interactive webpage with a dynamic URL.

As for the article being too perfect, I spent quite some time researching, writing and proofreading this article before publishing as evidenced by the gap between my last contribution and the creation of the page. The page does closely follow source 1 which is a free document from a government body, but it was not paraphrased using any AI tools.

I accept the other criticisms and will endeavor to fix those issues including adding secondary sources, however I do not believe this article meets the criterion that has been cited for speedy deletion.

Additionally, regarding comments made here:

• Pub is the term in common use here in Western Australia. I used it to differentiate the location from the other meaning of hotel.
• Patriotic Day is mentioned in source 2, another free source from a government body. This is an example of me mixing up sources during writing as I was consulting a few simultaneously.
• "Camping facilities were also improved" again comes from source 2 but I have mistakenly cited a different source.

Thanks for responding and I'm glad you didn't use an LLM. Please be careful with sources in future articles. It would be good to find some more independent, reliable sources for this article - local history publications or similar would be better than city websites. Trove and books.google.com or archive.org are good for searching for historical sources. Thanks for writing about local sites! Lijil (talk) 14:53, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
