FAC serial presentation

There is some inconsistency between sources regarding aircraft serial numbers.

IAI Kfir FAC 3043

1. On the aircraft themselves, the presentation on the tail is usually:
   FAC (top line), with 1234 (line below)
2. Very occasionally (e.g. IAI Kfir) the presentation is on one line: FAC<space>1234
3. In Spanish language media, the presentation is generally: FAC<space>1234
4. In English language media, the presentation is ... variable: FAC<hyphen>1234

But in both English and Spanish media, there is inconsistency!
As this Wikipedia prefers English language media, I started out with a hyphen based on;

Military Transport Fleets 1981/82 by Ricky Halliday, page 26 (Colombia), Airline Publications & Sales Ltd, Hounslow, ISBN 0 905117 78 6

But I am beginning to have my doubts; maybe the <space> is the correct format. Most of the image hosting sites, which I cannot offer as sources (WP:UGC) favour just a <space>. And a publication from 1982 is now way out of date.

Perhaps I should add that I checked the existing sources for this article, and found them to be fantastically inconsistent.

1. InfoDefensa (23 January 2023); uses FAC 0001 in the text, but FAC-0001 for the photo image
2. CNN en Español, (14 February 2020); identifies the serial as FAC 001 (close, but no cigar!)
3. EMOL (January 19, 2004); identifies the serial as FAC-001 (did I say 'inconsistent'?)
4. InfoDefensa again - i.e. a duplicate citation

After that, I recall that generally the citations (mostly Spanish) preferred FAC<space>1234, but I am open to persuasion.
