Collen Williamson (also spelled Colin or Colen): A Scottish master mason and Freemason from Moray, Scotland, who served as the chief stonemason overseeing the cutting, laying, and carving of stone for the early phases of the Capitol (and White House). He managed teams of stonemasons, including other Scottish Freemasons from Journeyman Lodge No. 8 in Scotland, and participated in the 1793 cornerstone laying.
