Source:Mr. Jenkins drove Mr. Duncan’s fiancée, Louise Troh, and three others from their contaminated apartment to their new temporary home in a county-owned Ford Explorer. He did so without protective gear, wearing, as he pointed out to reporters, the same dress shirt to a news conference that he wore in the vehicle.

Birth records

​Just because birth records are used in other sources doesn’t mean it’s correct to use them. It's accurate. He's a public figure. He's public said his age, when his birthday is and where he was born in interviews. This isn't new information. Cladeal832 (talk) 00:27, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

@Cladeal832: Where has he said his age? I saw the birthday thing because I also follow him on Twitter. But I honestly cannot find any secondary sources that support his age/birth year. If you have it, please add the citation.  Bait30  ^{Talk 2 me pls?} 06:22, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

The policy you are citing is ORIGINAL research. It's online. ANYBODY can read, it's not original to me where I didn't talk to his mother or I didn't go to the county clerk and get his birth certificate.Cladeal832 (talk) 18:18, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Bait30 is correct, we are not allowed to reference people's biographical data to primary source civil records in genealogy databases. If Clay Jenkins has really stated his age and birthdate in interviews, then use those interviews as your sources for his age and birthdate — but you are not allowed to use FamilySearch. I won't revert, but I'm pretty sure that's still WP:SYNTHESIS. Based on {{birth based on age as of date}} if he was 7 y/o in 1971, he could've either been born 1963 or 1964.  Bait30  ^{Talk 2 me pls?} 20:33, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

You know he was born on March 26th from twitter.com. You've admitted that already. Also it's one thing to be against a source in the article, but you know he was born on March 26, 1964 so feigning personal ignorance on that fact is odd. Cladeal832 (talk) 20:42, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

"Double barreled" name

According to https://www.dallasnews.com/news/2023/01/13/dallas-county-judge-will-go-by-clay-lewis-jenkins/, he prefers to go by "Lewis Jenkins" now (and has used it in many circumstances other than political campaigning. In particular, he uses it in advertisements for his law firm. Samer (talk) 04:39, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
