Every weekend, Barracas Central’s opponents are blatantly harmed by referees complicit with Tapia and by corrupt individuals operating the VAR. The most recent controversy occurred on October 5, 2025, when two goals by Estudiantes were disallowed, and a tainted (foul) goal by Barracas was allowed to stand—turning what should have been a 3–0 into a 1–1 draw.
