Hi I am the subject of this article so I can't edit it, but I want to request that my PhD year which is listed as 2001 be corrected to 2007. Thank you. My BS was 2000 so a 2001 PhD would be impossible.

[edit]- The claim of PhD year received was changed as requested.
- The claim of PhD is unreferenced, so a citation needed inline template was applied to the claim.
- Other claims in the article were found to be referenced by the subject herself, either in CV's prepared by her, or by a past/present employer (or past/present school affiliation — e.g., websites.pmc.ucsc.edu). These claims ought to be referenced by reliable, WP:SECONDARY sources unconnected to the subject herself. A BLP sources maintenance template was applied to address this need.

- Thank you for fixing this spintendo! Here is the Proquest link for the PhD to provide a reliable source for the PhD date: https://search.proquest.com/openview/978c771c8d7dda58a613ba29f68254a0/1?pq-origsite=gscholar&cbl=18750&diss=y Thanks again Christierowe (talk) 12:40, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for providing the link to the thesis. I've added it as the reference for the Ph.D. I've also removed the BLP sources template, but please remember that sources for things like accolades and degrees are better coming from the institutions which give them out (such as the thesis reference). These are to be preferred to sources such as "About Us" webpages which are controlled by the subject.[a] For example, the claim
In 2009 Rowe was appointed an National Science Foundation-MARGINS postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she worked on geophysical observations.
is given Rowe's websites.pmc.ucsc.edu page as the cite. Even though this is still UCSC, it is a webpage which is controlled by the subject. A better reference in that instance would be from those who award the NSF MARGINS scholarships, be it a UCSC scholarship-related portal or the NSF itself. One last reminder: all new posts on talk pages should be placed at the bottom of the talk page. Thank you for your help! Regards, Spintendo 13:15, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

- ↑ If not controlled by the subject, then at least shaped by input from the subject.
