What did he do with himself during the almost 40 years he lived after leaving office? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.72.159.156 (talk) 18:04, 4 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Not a Junior

[edit]

Carter Henry Harrison was not a junior; he was IV:

"Biography of Carter H. Harrison IV

Carter Henry Harrison IV ("Harrison"), like his father, Carter Henry Harrison III, was a five term Democratic mayor of Chicago. Harrison served his first four terms around the turn of the twentieth century (1897-1905), with his final term running from 1911 until 1915. Harrison was also Collector of Internal Revenue for the Chicago area during the 1930s and early 1940s."[1] Belshay (talk) 22:03, 1 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

In American naming conventions, it is common to refer to father and son as Sr. and Jr., even if they aren't the first and second in the family line, especially when they became known in the same field of work. Onikaburgers (talk) 23:16, 10 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Knights templar?

[edit]

The Knights Templar was dissolved over 500 years before his birth. This seems dubious at best. Apologies, I am very out of practice with wikipedia editing. 161.199.76.19 (talk) 15:47, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
