I have heard from multiple persons who have connections to Calvin Seerveld that he died on August 5, 2025. I see that "ReadingThru" attempted to add that fact to the main article, but the edits have been reverted. Not wishing to start a reversion war, and not having anything more than what I consider to be reliable news from my grapevine of friends, I will only post here what I believe to be the case. Editors should be on the lookout because I would expect a news source on this, such as an obituary or an announcement to the public from the Institute for Christian Studies soon. References have now ben added and Seerveld influence in the reformational movement expanded slightly. SteveBish 08:52, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It’s great to know there are great minds who have written on this topic of aesthetics. I’d like to see more image bearers of God making application of these ideas. Lord willing there will be a lot within my lifetime, but if not, I am comforted with the postmillenial hope that ALL things will be put under the feet of our triune God; including bad art. Affirming that assumes that the art will be high & lofty in the near future. I can’t wait, but I can afford to be patient.
