It seems unlikely to me that he was born in 1915, then traveled to Detroit in 1930 with his wife and children *at age 15*???? I think it is more likely that he was born a few years earlier. Vital statistics on Black people from the early 20th century are often unreliable. The text does not state he traveled to Detroit in 1930 with wife and children. It states Befriending Johnny Shines, in 1930 they travelled together to Helena, Arkansas, where they met Robert Johnson. The trio moved on to Detroit, Michigan, with Frazier bringing his wife, Gussie Mae, and their children. You are assuming the date carries forward in to the next sentence - it doesn't. As far as a date of birth is concerned, the text uses AllMusic as a source - it may not be totally reliable, but is way better than speculation.
