Meeting WP:NPOL

[edit]

Hi! I imagine this one might be a bit on the edge for people per WP:NPOL, so I decided to put together an explainer as to why I made this before election day.

Was going to write just a draft article here, and then found that her move to her role at CISA was very well covered along with good coverage of her time there, in particular by this AP article and several other sources (, , as examples, more out there that I didn't include in the article). She also had a newspaper hit from when Joe Biden visited her platoon back in Iraq, and then the election has obviously been well-covered: because of this, she meets WP:BLP1E and WP:GNG in my opinion, and I decided to move it to mainspace now. If folks disagree and feel it should be moved back to draft space, I completely understand and we can discuss! Nomader (talk) 19:32, 28 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for making the page. It absolutely should be here. How can we help you update with more validated information? Avijrosales (talk) 01:34, 2 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Avijrosales: The article passed Articles For Deletion. If you'd like to support, simply edit the article. Make sure to cite WP:IRS. :) CopyleftEverything (talk) 04:34, 2 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Why is someone purposely choosing bad photos?

[edit]

Is there any way to update this with a better photo of Cait Conley? They're literally dozens of photos of her in uniform as a military officer. They're also professional head shots of her out there! Its very suspicious to see this type of photo for when her opponent in the upcoming election has his official portrait used in his wiki page WTF Avijrosales (talk) 01:33, 2 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

The reason for this is that we have to use copyright free images. Most images on the internet cannot be used on Wikipedia. —Leaf.Sheap ⇖ /.°°.\ ⇗ (They•Them) 01:45, 2 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
