Source: 'Pastors across the country have reported struggling with members who are buying into conspiracy theories — chiefly QAnon, a murky, online movement.... The current phenomenon has largely taken root in American Protestantism — namely evangelicals ... "This is a serious and widespread problem, which will not likely go away any time soon," said Rev. Bryan C. Hollon, a professor of theology and director of Malone University's Center for Christian Faith & Culture. While church leaders won't succeed in convincing everyone, they can address the problem "from the pulpit," said Hollon, also an Anglican pastor and Resident Scholar at the C.S. Lewis Institute of Northeast Ohio. "Identify conspiracy theories like QAnon by name, and provide clear information explaining why these conspiracies are false," he said.
