Protect this Article

Hello, I am a representative of Alphatrends.net and we would like to request for assistance protecting the article about Brian Shannon. There is no Protect button at the top of the page like how your FAQs direct. Alphatrends (talk) 12:14, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

We don't protect articles without good reason. I see no such reason: the article has been edited only ten times in the past 12 months, six of which by bots, and none of the other edits seem like vandalism. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:28, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
To expand on what DoubleGrazing said, articles are not protected to lock the text to what the subject might prefer or merely to prevent others from editing them. Article subjects have no special rights to the article about themselves, though their suggestions for changes on this page are welcome; this is best done in the form of an edit request(the edit request wizard can facilitate making requests). 331dot (talk) 08:31, 16 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
