Notability, source issues

I have serious questions as to the notability of this organization. Independent sources are sorely lacking in this article, and a quick search for more sources came up pretty much empty. Need some help here, perhaps from someone more familiar with this organization (but NOT in an effort to promote it); otherwise, we may need to consider if this article merits remaining here. Historically, this has been a very active organization, as anyone who's aware of the history of fighting hunger knows. They are still doing a lot today, and there is no question that they are notable. See this article, for example:

Also, the sheer number of members of Congress who've been involved is a strong indication that they're "notable".

Unfortunately, about half of this ridiculous article on wikipedia is focused on a single recent controversy, instead of discussing the history of the organization, their lobbying and they're many successes is fighting world hunger. 137.30.144.126 (talk) 16:17, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
