Translation anomaly
[edit]At the very end of the story, Lantz's translation has "Foo! No, I won't go, certainly not; it's a matter of conscience!" Constance Garnett has "Tfoo! But I shall go, I shall certainly go; it is a question of conscience." Garnet's version seems to be true to the Russian: Но пойду, непременно пойду, дело совести!
