Origin of name
[edit]Why are they called Bloomsbury? Why choose that name? LeapUK (talk) 06:31, 23 August 2015 (UTC)
- Quote: "Bloomsbury's head office is located on Bedford Square[3] in Bloomsbury" Isn't that self explaining? ThomasPusch (talk) 16:53, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

Bloomsbury India announced on 23 August 2020, that it was withdrawing the publication of a book on the 2020 Delhi riots. Some commended the announcement, while others criticized it as an attempt to stifle free speech.[1] Athosindia (talk) 18:42, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Bloomsbury Prsss
[edit]The name of the former (?) publishing brand Bloomsbury Press from 2010 on just redirects here. But there's no mention at all of the name in the text. Is or was it a subsidiary? From when to when publications were issued under this publishing name?? ThomasPusch (talk) 16:50, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- At least the company's facebook-page facebook.com/BloomsburyPress states: "Bloomsbury Press is an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing in New York specializing in serious nonfiction." That is a clear explanation. ThomasPusch (talk) 17:00, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
