"Billy Barty was remarkable because he never quite realized how famous he was." -- George Lucas —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.84.26.82 (talk) 02:44, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Height??

[edit]

How tall was he? Would appear to be significant.Tsuguya (talk) 01:26, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

How so? You may as well ask how much he weighed, how long was his inseam, and what size shoes he wore. He was a Little Person; what does it matter how little? I agree. I met him on his kids's TV show in the '60s ("Billy Barty's Big Top"—which, curiously, this article doesn't mention), and the impression I'll always have of him isn't one of someone of small stature, but someone with a big heart.
Which brings me to why I was posting here: Is this really the best photo we can find, where his entire face is concealed? Yeesh. I've contacted his son, a film producer, and asked if he can provide us with a better one. If he can, I imagine it'll be one from real life—so if anyone can source one from an acting role, too (where we can actually see him!), that'd be great. – AndyFielding (talk) 08:38, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Possible Edits/Additions

[edit]

Hello. I believe Mr. Barty had a TV show between 1973 & 1977, maybe called "Billy Barty's Circus"? It may have run primarily (or only) in the LA area, which is where we got our TV from in my childhood. I don't know that I'm competent or knowledgeable enough to do this edit, but I'd love to see it added (if my memory is correct). L.cosner (talk) 16:40, 31 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
