You guys really should use a normal photo for the main

The current one is bizarre and makes him look very weird looking. Had to scroll to find normal ones of him standing straight and looking directly at the camera, like your average profile picture would do. Was he Jewish?

I cannot fathom that this is a real quote. I cannot find the source that is listed (Aldous, p. 225; and Blake (1967), pp. 525–526) and I really want to know if this was an actual quote. Very funny if true but I don't believe it.

The Aldous reference under Sources includes a link to the book (you need an Internet Archive account to read it). Aldous cites Mollie Hardwick's Mrs Dizzy (p.191), and she cites the diary of Lord Rosebery, 14 May 1899 (which I haven't found online). Vexald (talk) 08:42, 20 October 2025 (UTC)

WP:URFA/2020

I am reviewing this article as part of WP:URFA/2020 an initiative to review Wikipedia's older featured articles. I have outined some of my concerns below:

• The article is quite long, at 14,700 words. WP:SS says articles can start to be considered too long at over 8,000 words and WP:TOOBIG says text should probably be spun out at 9,000. I think there are sections with too much detail that can be summarised more effectively and have important information explained in better detail in child articles.
• There are some uncited statements in the article.
• There are some short, one sentence paragraphs in the article that should be formatted more effectively.
• The "Political" and "Role of his Jewishness" sections both use lot of blockquotes, which may not adhere to WP:SS and might cause copyright problems. Other block quote in the article should be considered for summarising instead.

Tim riley got it to FA with me. These seem minor, I'm sure we can clean it up. I don't consider the length an issue, this is a major figure who also had a literary career as well as a political one. Wehwalt (talk) 13:11, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
