There is a significant error on the page- the airplanes listed for the Brigade lists 45 F 4U Corsairs- while in reality the Brigade had no fighter aircraft at all. Hello, has anyone else noticed an excess of citations? Some sentences have five for just one fact. A bit of redundancy is fine, but this seems excessive.

Excess citations always make me nervous. Sometimes someone will add a dubious fact cited to an unreliable source. Someone else will object, then the first editor will add six more citations to equally questionable sources to bolster their argument.

CIA Director George Bush?

George Bush was not CIA director in 1961. He was a private citizen and businessman. There are allegations he was involved with the CIA at this time, but further clarification is needed. Tfdavisatsnetnet (talk) 23:45, 9 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Opening Paragraph Clarification

For the opening paragraph to say the US invaded Cuba is misleading. I propose to edit the paragraph to make it clear that the one-day invasion was developed and led by the CIA and involved no US military assets, as both Eisenhower and Kennedy insisted. I have not yet drafted specific edits as the wording must be concise and clear. Please weigh in on consensus re: goal and purpose. Also, it should be clarified thaat funding came from both US government and private sources. Came to say the same thing. "The Bay of Pigs Invasion was a failed military landing operation on the southwestern coast of Cuba in April 1961 by the United States and the Cuban Democratic Revolutionary Front (DRF)" confused me.

I thought that meant the US invaded them. It was an invasion by the DRF, with funding by the United States. These are two very different things.

I would just go ahead and change it but I've found that any edits on Wikipedia are instantly reverted by botnets unless you go through some approved person. So idk how do work Wikipedia anymore now it's an oligarchy, maybe someone else can find the right people to make the change. ~2026-36105-07 (talk) 21:59, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
