The article says that Gibb is a Knight, uses the honorific "Sir", and has a CBE, but holders of CBEs are not entitled to the honorific "Sir", only KBEs and GBEs. There are many articles, including one cited, which say "Barry Gibb is now Sir Barry Gibb" but it's possible those articles were not properly researched. Barry Gibb is a British-American citizen, a registered voter (Voter #128035511) and taxpayer who has worked in Miami-Dade County since 1975. It is unfair that his status as an American is not recognized due to whatever musical ubiquity his status as a Briton might hold.
