[edit]Something's wrong. The upper illustration shows an overhand knot, while the next shows a figure-of-eight knot. The instructions won't get you from one to the other.
I made a new diagram on how to tie the knot. It works, it's not a figure-of-eight. If you follow the path, it does not alternate (over-under-...). I also removed the stub status and added the "expand" status + a few rearrangement in the text. --Alex (talk) 12:04, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
