Split proposal

[edit]

The current company called Banijay Entertainment based in London is formed from the merger of the original Paris-based company that existed from 2008 to 2026 and All3Media, whose London HQ has since been used for the combined company. The article needs to be split to reflect this. Have this article be called "Banijay Entertainment (2008–2026)" and the new one for the combined company "Banijay Entertainment (2026–present)". Alternatively, I would also be fine with eliminating the "Entertainment" from both article titles, since the production companies are more well known than the parent Banijay Group (which doesn't even have its own article yet). Object. We need to focus better. Maybe also change programming from a SPINOFF into a SPINOUT. Entertainment is used consistently. Also, Enterntainment is still common in the name. If they'll change, we'll change. CONCISE is important, yet COMMONNAME is not there yet. gidonb (talk) 06:23, 7 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Keep the official names, otherwise just calling them Banijay will confuse the readers as to which of them and the Group is which, imv Atlantic306 (talk) 19:31, 10 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
If it is split I think the first article should be named Banijay Entertainment and the second one Banijay Entertainment UK as per the official names with no need for dates in the titles but include an explanatory hatnote, imv Atlantic306 (talk) 13:02, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I was thinking that too. I think now it would actually be more appropriate to have this as Banijay Entertainment SA and the second one as Banijay Entertainment UK, per the procedure at Atari, Inc. and Atari SA. Inpops (talk) 14:26, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I support that. Is Banijay UK Productions still the right name for that article? Atlantic306 (talk) 18:44, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
