Bravely done, Wikipedians! We now have a more complete bio of the late Balin, RIP. The references are a mess, though, and I'm not good at them and don't have time tonight. @Yopienso Hope you don't mind me stealing this thread, but I noticed you created the early life section and I thought you might want to know that KTUU (local newspaper) ran a piece about Balin with more information about his early life. Please edit! It's not mine. I jumped on it because my kids knew Balin. We've worried about our own son when he's gone on crazy climbs; I so feel for his parents.
