Hagiographic, unsourced, self-published

[edit]

Wikipedia is not a free advertisement space, but an encyclopedia. Artciles need to be sourced, per [[W{:RS]], and to be neutral, per WP:NPOV. So I trimmed down the hagiographic elements, and removed unsourced info. There's still a problem: the remaining info depends solely on his website, which is self-published, which is not WP:RS. "Swami"

[edit]

Mr Parthasarathy is called Swamiji by his followers. Alright, but he is a married man. Usually the term Swami refers to a Hindu monk. A note as to why the term is applied to him would be appropriate, or at least a note explaining that he is married. ...................................................... This article makes no mention of the location of Vedanta Academy, discussed in the article -- Malavli 27 Road, Karla, Maharashtra 410405, India -- at least the Karla part of the address should be in the article, as the Academy is where the non-Swami is based. Also, Swami Parthasarathy was "encouraged by [the very famous] Swami Chinmayananda" to teach vedanta, see https://www.rediff.com/news/slide-show/slide-show-1-spirituality-and-religiosity-complement-each-other/20130604.htm , and no mention of this fact occurs in the article, although it ought to be there.184.180.87.188 (talk) 08:38, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Advetisijg

[edit]

This page reads like an Advertising with unreferenced claims such as training the Indian cricket team (where, when? For how long?). It should be deleted 亮HH (talk) 08:00, 10 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

This entire article is promotional

[edit]

As it stands, this article reads like this man's personal website/resume rather than something you'd expect on an encyclopedia. I believe it should either be rewritten per Wikipedia standards or deleted. Chronikhiles (talk) 11:05, 21 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
