What is left
[edit]@Plasma east: The only train left is Via Rail's three times a week service from Montreal through New Brunswick to Halifax. Peter Horn User talk 20:24, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

[edit]This article is a good read, but I'd say I'm tempted to delete most of it because it is entirely unsourced! Can anybody contribute some citations for this? 162 etc. (talk) 17:12, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
Sealing by customs
[edit]Should add a mention of how all but 1 of the cars were sealed for the trip across Maine so riders didn't have to enter the US and go through customs. Jason McHuff (talk) 02:35, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
- I remember that U.S. Customs sealed the train at Vanceboro, ME and Jackman, ME. The one car that wasn't sealed had a Customs Agent who monitored local traffic between Vanceboro, Danforth, Mattawamkeag, Brownville Jct., Greenville and Jackman. U.S. passengers boarding in the States bound for Canada were subject to Canada Customs inspection in MacAdam, NB and Megantic, QC. I have not been able to source a citation for that thus far.
