Odd reference
[edit]The second sentence in the 'Research contributions' section is odd: One notable contribution is his development of a new technique to predict the upper limit of solar energy conversion efficiency in crystalline materials, facilitating the rapid selection of next-generation solar energy materials.
is referenced to something called "Radware Bot Manager Captcha", available here, but which is actually called "Methods for data-driven multiscale model discovery for materials", and where the only mention of Walsh is as the co-author of one of the citations used, to back up the sentence The machine learning methods proposed here are a significant departure from molecular dynamics simulations and recently advocated neural network architectures
. Bulklana, could you explain what's going on? BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 14:30, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
Feedback from New Page Review process
[edit]I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: I don't think there is a question about him passing notability under NPROF#C1. We do need a few more cites, although the page creators appear to now be blocked for paid editing.

Hi there! I'm on this Talk page as an employee of the company CuspAI, where Aron Walsh works as Chief Scientific Officer. I have some updates to suggest to the current Academic career section of this article, which currently relies heavily on primary sources. These updates would:
- Rename the section from Academic career to Career and research, which is more common among articles about academics
- Swap out several primary sources for reliable secondary sources
- Add 2 sentences about Dr. Walsh's research areas
- Add 1 sentence about Dr. Walsh's career at CuspAI
- Update out-of-date information about Dr. Walsh's editor role at JACS
You can see a full draft of my proposed changes below:

Career and research
Walsh began his academic career as a Royal Society University Research Fellow at the University of Bath,[1] where he went on to become a professor. He holds a full professorship at Imperial College London leading the Materials Design Group.[2] Walsh has conducted research on solar power and solar cell development.[3] He has also published on stable crystal structures for manufacturing.[4] Walsh's research integrates quantum mechanics with data-driven machine learning and multi-scale modelling approaches.[5] He has written or co-written over 500 research articles.[6] Walsh has served as an associate editor for the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS).[7] Journal of Materials Chemistry in 2017 published the first paper from Walsh's collaboration with a young research group at Kim Il-sung University, in North Korea, funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund.[2] As of January 2026, Walsh is the Chief Scientific Officer for CuspAI, a start-up company that uses artificial intelligence to help discover new materials for industrial uses.[8] References
