Review
[edit]The article is mostly good. I understand that there probably isn't a ton of information about this subject, given that its pretty niche, so its length is fine. I went through it and fixed some grammar and capitalization errors. I did find some issues, though:
The lice also contain an endosymbiotic bacteria, which helps aid in digestion of material from the bird.
is not backed up by the citation. I looked through the source, and found that this quote is actually talking about ischnoceran lice (p. 517).- Removed
- [13] has some info in it that is not mentioned in this article that probably should be (30% of bird lice are amblycerans, amblycerans are more motile than ischnoceran lice, etc.). You don't have to include every last detail, but there is definitely noteworthy info in there.
- Wasn't able to find a ton more to expand on but added your suggestions to classification section. Also added to the end of the feeding methods with it.
Spot check:

Everything else is fine, though. It is very clearly written and covers every major topic, and there isn't anything I feel is missing (except above).

- I realized that there's actually a line in the article that already mentions their speed (
Amblycera lice tend to parasitize one host before quickly moving onto another one, without staying nearby one that is dead.
) So I removed the other sentence. I also moved the other statement to the upper paragraph for continuity's sake. I dont really have any other comments, so I'll pass the article. ZKevinTheCat (talk) 03:44, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
