Alvin Thornton is not the chair of the department of political science at Howard University, nor is he even among their faculty. https://politicalscience.howard.edu/people ~2026-20110-00 (talk) 06:29, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

He was planning to retire in summer 2017, but I'm not finding WP:RS to clarify the dates he served in which position. The language in the first graf can probably safely be changed to past tense.—Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 13:41, 1 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
