Subject: Corrections to member status and discography (July 2026 edit)

[edit]

Hi Jfire,

I'm writing regarding your revert of my 27 July edit. I want to be fully transparent about who I am: I am the producer of Altan Urag, and I am also band member M. Chimedtogtokh myself. Our band has never had an official, properly sourced history published on Wikipedia before — the existing article was written by others without our input and contains a number of outdated and incorrect details. This time, I'm submitting an official update with verifiable third-party sources attached.

I'd like to address the specific concerns you raised:

1. Deceased member status: Purewjal Oyunbileg, listed in the current version as an active member, passed away on 13 May 2018. This is documented here: https://news.zindaa.mn/2d41. This is simply a factual correction that needs to be made regardless of any other concerns.

2. Sourcing: My edit included citations from IMDb, BMI.com, Zindaa.mn, and other outlets for the added claims (film credits, BMI membership, awards). I'm happy to add more if specific claims need stronger sourcing — could you point me to which sections concerned you most?

3. Discography: The current article's discography stops around 2010 and omits several albums released since then, including our upcoming 2026 album "The Silence."

I understand the concern about conflict of interest, which is exactly why I disclosed my affiliation on my user page before editing. I'd rather work collaboratively than edit-war. Could you let me know which parts you'd support restoring, and which need more sourcing before being added back? I'm also happy to submit changes here for review first, given my COI, rather than editing the article directly.

Thank you for your time and for looking after the quality of this article.

Hi, thank you for posting here. The main concerns with your edit was that the majority of it was unsourced. Per the verifiability policy, we require all content to have citations to reliable sources. A secondary concern is that the addition appeared to be generated by AI, which is is prohibited in articles.
I have made the requested change regarding P. Oyunbileg. Please make further requests here following the Wikipedia:Edit requests process. You can use the Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard for this process if you like. Jfire (talk) 15:32, 27 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
