Alfred was the founder of the business that later developed into a major manufacturer. He was also a pioneer of the rubber industry. This is important as part of industrial history of the North of England. I will endeavour to find more from local history sources but they will all be offline (local history library, Retford Times etc).SandrinaHatman (talk) 13:08, 1 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
