Why alexa don’t have a birth date and age here??? Add now

December 11, 1990 is confirmed … Amit.li0 (talk) 09:30, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

We need BLP-quality sources that meet WP:DOB criteria. See the past discussions, some of which are archived. --Hipal (talk) 17:03, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Discography?

[edit]

Is there a reason this article doesn’t have a discography section/table? (or even mention Demie’s music?) She has two singles and a feature, and the music video for one of these singles is even in the filmography section, so I can’t see why it isn’t mentioned anywhere else as being her song?

Also, the source used for her “Love 2 U” music video appearance also says she is the director of that video, so perhaps some note of that should be taken somewhere? Thank you! ~2026-31840-54 (talk) 04:04, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hollywood Reporter interview for age

[edit]

This is the latest ref, added by @Vistadan:: Rankin, Seija (May 31, 2026). "Alexa Demie, Euphoria's Most Elusive 'It' Girl, Is Finally Ready to Talk". The Hollywood Reporter. Retrieved May 31, 2026..

I don't think it meets WP:DOB criteria, Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public.. Demie nowhere talks about her age, so I think there's still a strong argument that we're not there yet. --Hipal (talk) 14:44, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

The article legit mentions "a 35-year old" in its opening sentence, and given its THR, it should be more then enough to be BLP-quality. If she didn't want her age being mentioned THR would not have mentioned it, so she must of told them beforehand. MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 17:00, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I don't see how the Hollywood Reporter piece isn't a source "linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public". It's a lengthy interview sporting photographs and a magazine cover. It isn't some write-up about Demie pulling information from wherever. THR almost certainly shared a copy with Demie or someone acting on her behalf to fact-check before publishing; we have no reason to believe otherwise. If the age was incorrect, it wouldn't have been included. scoutguy138 20:23, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
There is wide consensus on multiple occasions that The Hollywood Reporter is known to be a reliable source (see WP:THR) and this piece in particular is a lengthy article including interview, photoshoot, magazine cover, etc. done in association Demie herself.
There is no reason to believe that the article hasn't been fact checked or that the subject objected to having her age be published in such a way. I don't see any issue with Wikipedia stating that she is age 35 as of May 31, 2026. RachelTensions (talk) 10:48, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've restored it per the comments above, as an interview that everyone responding assumes would have been verified by Demie or her proxy before publication. --Hipal (talk) 16:08, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Elle magazine for date of birth

[edit]

Would Elle (Australian edition) count as a reliable source? The birth date is cited directly: "Born: December 11, 1990": Mitchell, Rebecca (November 3, 2023). "Jokes Aside, How Old Will The 'Euphoria' Cast Be In Season 3?". Elle. Retrieved June 2, 2026. Leo Mercury (talk) 14:33, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

I'm unimpressed with it. I believe it was was previously rejected.
I briefly skimmed past discussions, looking for something better, but it's mostly focused on the year. I expect someone can find something we can use. --Hipal (talk) 16:03, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please add reference to Demie’s musical career on the page and add a Discography section and table that includes her singles “Girl Like Me” (2016) and “Leopard Limo (Archive LL11)” (2021)- the latter is included in her filmography table and the corresponding source mentions her music career. As a featured artist, Demie apprared on JMSN’s (under his alias Pearl) 2016 single “Turnin’ Tricks” from the album Closer. https://www.thefader.com/2016/08/31/pearl-closer-jmsn-premiere

Finally, can Demie directing the “Love 2 U” music video by JMSN be mentioned somewhere? The source already on the page for it mentions her as Director (https://rngldr.medium.com/jmsn-alexa-demie-the-cinematographic-masterpiece-that-is-love-2-u-86a0deee99fb)
