This is totally UNFAIR that Syria Satellite Channel stopped broadcasting on Hot Bird! We really want that Syria Satellite Channel once again will be available on Hot Bird! :'( --178.174.228.60 (talk) 22:05, 11 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Then the regime shouldn't have massacred its citizens. NeoSyria\Freedoxm (talk · contribs) 05:26, 22 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Riad Salih: could you made a logo replacing the red with the green from Nur As-sham? Source. Panam2014 (talk) 19:53, 11 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Requested move 22 December 2024

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. Noting that I've also reviewed the argument by the requester, and the commentary from other editors when this was logged as a technical request, and the possible ambiguity around the sources provided. I'm not inclined to relist this discussion again, I would recommend a future requested move has a more detailed rationale to allow other contributors to weigh in and provide input. Official name

[edit]

@RamiPat and Abo Yemen: the ORTAS owned channel is called Syrian TV, not Syria TV. We have secondary sources, sources from Nilesat and official source (for example the logo).

Syria TVSyria (TV channel) – Based on its Arabic origin and the text of this article, its correct name should be Syria rather than "Syria TV", the latter being a Turkish-based television station whose stance was opposed during the Ba'athist regime. Static image

[edit]

@NeoSyria: a static image was used for channel from December 2024 to February 2026. The green logo have been kept until January 2026, then the gray until February 2026. Panam2014 (talk) 13:54, 22 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
