Appraiser, I'm pretty sure this photo is of Elliott Rice's brother, Brigadier General Samuel Allen Rice. The only photo I have of Elliott shows him with only a mustache and a wider face, in Ezra Warner's Generals in Blue, p. 400. Samuel Allen Rice was Colonel of the 33rd Iowa. His photo on p. 402 resembles the photo of Samuel. Scromett 17:02, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
