Regarding the 8 casualities claimed by Hezbollah.
[edit]The 8 IDF causalities confirmed by IDF were from the 89th Commando Brigade "Oz/Courage", which at the time of the claimed ambush operated in Odaisseh area, not Maroun al-Ras. There are currently no confirmed IDF causalities for any of the brigades that operated in Maroun al-Ras area during the ambush, so they should be marked as Hezbollah claim until IDF or independent sources confirm it. "However, according to UNIFIL, IDF troops there later withdrew from the position to unknown locations." The cited tweet says they withdrew from the position, not from the town. Fairemblem (talk) 06:22, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Description of suggested change:
The phrase "attempted to enter the village" is a little clunky/misleading. The battle took place within the village, with both armies operating within it, not outside of the village.
