Sentrycs
Sentrycs is an Israeli company that develops counter-unmanned aerial system technology. Its systems detect, identify, track, and mitigate unauthorized drones by analyzing communications between drones and their operators.[1][2]
Technology
[edit]Sentrycs develops protocol-based counter-drone systems using technology it calls Cyber over RF. The systems analyze radio-frequency communications to identify drones and locate their operators. They can also disconnect selected drones from their controllers and direct them to a designated landing location. The technology is designed to operate alongside other counter-drone components, including radar and electro-optical sensors.[1][2]
History
[edit]Sentrycs was founded in 2017. In 2024, the company reported that its technology had been selected for use at military installations in Europe. The company also reported that its systems had been evaluated for use by security authorities in the United Kingdom.
In August 2024, Sentrycs signed a memorandum of understanding with Mahindra Group to develop and manufacture counter-drone systems for the Indian market.[3][4]
In 2025, Sentrycs entered a partnership with XTEND to combine its detection and mitigation technology with XTEND’s unmanned aircraft systems. The companies said the integrated system would be used to detect unauthorized drones and deploy an interceptor when required.[5]
Later that year, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems announced that Sentrycs’ technology would be integrated into its Drone Dome counter-UAS system. The integration added protocol-based detection and mitigation capabilities to the platform.[1][2]
In 2025, Sentrycs also reported receiving a contract to supply counter-drone systems to a national security agency in Latin America. The customer and contract value were not disclosed.[6]
The company separately received a contract to deploy counter-UAS systems for a national security organization in Africa. The country and contract value were not publicly identified.[7]
Sentrycs has received an Army Technology Innovation Award and a Globee Award for its counter-drone technology. Frost & Sullivan also included the company in its 2024 assessment of the Israeli counter-UAS market.
